Stryn Summerski
Stryn Summer Ski Resort is open from the end of May/beginning of
June until the end of July/mid August depending on the amount of
snow accumulated through the winter as well as the temperature
during the summer. Normally, we get 8-12 meter of snow.

[Det letteste er å kjøre bil til Hjelledalen utenfor Stryn eller bruke Expressbussen som går fra Oslo, Bergen
eller Trondheim over Stryn. De passerer alle Folven Camping som er vår base.

Hvis du skal kjøre bil er det til Grov/Hjelledalen du skal til. Det
er første tettsted med en bensinstasjon når du kommer ned i dalen
etter å ha kjørt over Strynefjellet alternativ første bensinstasjon
etter at du har passert Stryn i retning Oslo. ]
[Standardhyttene har ingen ting utenom madrasse i sengene, så ta
med sovepose.
Skal du bo i "luxus hyttene" så har de sengeklær men ta med
dynetrekk, og laken og selvfølgelig håndklær. ]
[Husk å ta med: Solbriller og solkrem
med høy solfaktor, varme vinterklær i tillegg til sommer klærne for
det kan komme kalde dager. Sovepose og håndklær. Ny smurt brett,
penger og godt humør.]
- Flying: Nearest airports are Sandane or Ålesund. Bus from
there to Stryn / Folven. Or fly to Oslo and take the Expressbuss
from Oslo airport Gardermoen.
- Driving to get there: Get a good map of Norway and ask
directions. (From: Oslo - Otta - Lom - Stryn) Observe speed
limits. Police have radar, and use them.
- Bussing: Inside Norway, the best transport to the camp is by
the Express Bus system. You obtain a 25% reduction on
posted prices if you are 2 persons or more together.
Under 16 years have 50% reduction on posted prices.
Bus go from Oslo. All buses stop directly at the camp.
Your get off at a stop called Folven / Grov, don’t buy ticket to
Stryn.
- Bus departure from Oslo to Stryn is every morning at 09.45
am and 03.15pm and 10.15 pm. Check in 30 min. before departure.

[If you are staying in the "lux" cabins you should bring bed
covers and towels. If you are satying in a standard cabin you should
bring sleepingbag and towel.
Remember sun glasses for the glacier. The sun is more intense than
you might expect. Sun lotion with extreme factor is also needed.
Bring warm (winter) clothes as the glacier can be a frosty place if
the sun doesn’t shine. Do not forget towel and sleeping bag if you
are staying in a std. cabin. Wax your board for gliding on wet snow.]
